Water Use Collector -
Residential
- 1 IP-195 collector
is designed to generate hot water use to the average
household of four to five members.
Commercial - 1
IP-195 collector is designed to generate hot water use for
four to five people on average, calculation for apartment,
co-op, and condominium buildings. Solar system size to
structures as restaurants, laundromats, and businesses
relying on hot water to do business are calculated by the
number of gallons of heated water used and the amount of
conventional energy used during the period of one year.
SP-25 HT Space Heat
Collector -
Residential - 1
SP-25 collector is designed to generate baseboard /
radiant hot water heat per each 500 square foot area to
heat the home.
The SP-25 HT collector
works efficiently in Forced Hot Air Heating Systems
as well; 1 SP-25 collector is designed to generate
heat per each 500 square foot area to heat the home.
The SP-25 HT collector
can also be used to generate hot water use in the home; this
collector is designed to generate hot water to the average
household of four to five members.
Commercial - In
addition to calculating 500 square foot per 1 SP-25
collector, the amount of conventional energy consumed by the
building in the period of one year/heating season will be
divided by the energy output of 1 SP-25 collector to
determine the size of the system to adequately heat the
structure.
The SP-25 HT collector
can also be used in commercial hot water use production.
This system size is measured similar to the IP-195
system, calculated by the number of gallons of heated water
used and the amount of conventional energy used during the
period of one year.
Pool Heating -
Note: The SP-25
HT Heat Collector is designed with alternate systems to heat
the home in the heating season and heat the pool when the
home heating season is done.
The most accurate
method of measuring solar system size for pool heat is by
the amount of energy in Therms (gas), Gallons (oil), or KWH
(electric) consumed to heat the pool during the swimming
season. The general estimation to system size needed to heat
the pool is 1 SP-25 collector per 5,000 gallons of heated
pool water. |
